FAQ

What is CCRS LLC?

CCRS LLC (Court Cash Recovery Services) is a claims-filing service that locates and recovers unclaimed bankruptcy distributions from U.S. courts. We are a Nebraska-registered LLC, not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice.

How do unclaimed bankruptcy funds happen?

Bankruptcy courts distribute funds to creditors and individuals, yet many remain unclaimed due to address changes, confusing paperwork, dissolved entities, forgotten claims, or limited court follow-up. Funds are held in the court registry.

How does CCRS find these funds?

We search public bankruptcy records (via PACER and court databases) nationwide for undelivered or unclaimed distributions.

Is there any cost to check if I have funds?

No. Our initial verification packet is free and no-obligation.

What happens if I receive a packet from you?

Review the details. If it matches your information, sign the simple agreement and mail back original supporting documents (notarized where required). We handle all filing.

Do I pay anything upfront?

No upfront costs ever. We work on contingency only.

What is your fee?

Fees are subject to the signed agreement. We deduct our contingency fee only from recovered funds. Full details in your agreement.

Is recovery guaranteed?

No. The bankruptcy court decides approval and timing. We make no guarantees.

How long does the process take?

Typically 4–12 weeks after filing, but courts vary. Some take months due to backlogs.

What documents do I need to provide?

We provide the forms for you to sign, and we require proof of ID (notarized where required). No digital uploads—mail originals only.

Are my documents safe?

Yes. CCRS collates the proof of unclaimed funds from the courts and completes the paperwork. We require the forms to be signed and witnessed by a Notary, together with proof of identity (also notarized, not original). None of the original paperwork is kept by CCRS; however, we retain copies for audit purposes, which are held in a locked physical safe in our Lincoln, NE office. Copies are retained 7 years for audits, then shredded. No additional copies are kept except court-required scans (deleted immediately after filing). We do not return copies of the paperwork.

How are funds delivered?

We send a check when the funds are available, less our agreed fee.

What if I’m an heir or successor?

We file as successor claimant. Provide proof of entitlement (death certificate, assignment, etc.).

Is CCRS LLC a Law Firm?

CCRS LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.

Do you work with businesses or only individuals?

Both. We recover for individuals, dissolved companies, heirs, and assignees.

Is this a scam?

No. We are a verifiable Nebraska LLC. Check us on the NE Secretary of State site. We never ask for payment upfront or sensitive financial info.
